Lindsay's Favorite book of the week: Dragon Games by P.W. Catanese (Books of Umber Part 2) This is a fabulous fantasy series (great for men and boys who don't like to read). So well-written, so exciting, so imaginative. I love it.
Also, read the Casson Family series by Hilary McKay beginning with Saffy's Angel (each one gets better) British, hysterical, dysfunctional yet loving family. So great.
Sam's Favorite Book of the Week: Heck Superhero by Martine Leavitt. Short, good read, but a little bit sad. (about a boy whose mother disappears and he is homeless for a little time)
Lucy's Favorite Book of the Week: Any Geronimo Stilton. Any of them. She read about thirty.
Calvin: Pearl and Wagner: One Funny Day by Kate McMullin. So super cute beginning chapter book. Really funny, all about April Fool's Day.
Shaemus: Guji Guji by Chih-Yuan Chen. A crocodile who mistakenly lives with the duck family and saves the ducks from the evil crocodiles, becoming a very happy Crocoduck at the end.
