Books and Book Sales

This is perhaps one of the best books of all time. It is written by a member of the church, and full of subtle, so subtle gospel truths, it will thrill your heart. She got a national book award honor for it, and she has become a good friend of mine in Vermont. I love her. Everything by her is fabulous. I'll highlight my two favorites. For older kids or adults.

ps--The scholastic book warehouse sales are coming up. Go to this site to register:

Books are so cheap there, plus if you spend sixty dollars, you get ten dollars off, or if you spend one hundred, you get twenty-five dollars off. And if you are careful, you can get really great stuff. Go check it out. It is sort of like my fantasy world—the complete opposite by the way of Barnes and Noble, which right now is my least favorite place to buy books. Just don't ever do it.

  1. I feel dumb because every week my comments are the same, but THANK YOU for writing this post every week. I always look forward to it. And your kids are adorable (I especially have a little thing for that Calvin...)

  2. I have been buying a lot of your recommendations on better world books. My favorite so far that I have bought from your recommendations is Contrary Bear! Love it. It is Livia to a T!
