Here is Mary's review of her Round One experience...
5.The Little Book of Hindu Deities- This "Little Book" is a book about all of the Hindu(Indian)Gods, from the father god to the sacred cow. If you like Greek myths, I can guarantee that you'll like this book.
4.The Fairy Tales of the Brothers Grimm- Of course, we all love these beautiful classic tales. This book is nice, because all of the tales are conveniently put into one big book.
3.This Thing Called the Future- A book about a girl who lives in a little shanty town in South Africa. She faces many trials at age fourteen- sickness, death, witches, and many more.
2.Ten Birds- A funny picture book about ten birds who try to cross a river, all in very different ways.
1.Small as an Elephant*******!!!!!!!- A very unusual story about a boy who goes to a campsite with his mom, who suddenly leaves, and he has to find his own way in the world.
So, Small as an Elephant by Jennifer Jacobson is Mary's winner for Round One!
Below is Mary with her first violin teacher, DaNece Lyman, and Mary with our new (old) dog, Aesop.
