THE OFFICIAL ROUND TWO

Round Two Has Arrived
This round required tweaking, because I wanted everyone in our family to read three books they’d never read before, but Flannery is not going to be reading Okay for Now and Mary is not going to read Stuck (at least not this round). So... some of these will be new. But that’s okay, because I’m making this whole thing up anyway!
Notice: I have not read most of these books. All of them are new to our family so I cannot tell you if I like them or if their content is okay for your kids. Please check that out for yourself, and I’ll let you know if we run into any troubles with them.

We are going to get these books done by Saturday, July 21st. We're starting year-round school on July 9th and we're vacationing this week, so we're giving ourselves a bit more time. A bit. :)

  1. We have loved doing battle of the books. Our round one winners are:

Tate (9) How to Train a Dragon series. He just finished the sixth, so that was his favorite.

Cale (8) My Father's Dragon by Ruth Gannett

Tess (5) The Toughtest Cowboy: Or how the Wild West was Tamed, by John Frank and Zachary Pullen

Quinn (36 I think) Heaven is Here by Stephanie Nielson

Lindsay, I take your book suggestions with me every time I go to the library. You have inspired our family to read more, and thankfully we are going to the library more often. Thanks so much!

  2. I just want to say Hooray! for Tate on the How to Train Your Dragon series. That is without doubt my favorite series for K-3 right now.

And we LOVE My father's Dragon series. If any of you haven't read them, they are also perfect for that age group and there are three books in the series.

I haven't read The Toughest Cowboy—will get it as soon as we get home. And Quinn, yours will make me cry, but I would love to read it too.

Thanks for having your own Battle of the Books!!!!
