So many series for girls, so little time

There are a lot of younger middle grade series with a girl main character.

This girl main character tends to be spunky or different. Think Pippi Longstocking as the predecessor of these girls. All of these books tend to have different hooks (or similar hooks) to draw you and your daughter in. To make you buy.

But all are not equal, at least at our house, so here is a list of our favorite books for girls 7-11 (give or take a year). Books poured over again and again and again.

Clementine by Sara Pennypacker. I know most of you know about Clementine, but there are now five books in the series, and for us, they haven't gotten old, though perhaps our favorite is book #2, The Talentine Clementine.

The Goddess Girls Set
The Goddess Girls by Joan Holub
I know, I know. But the girls love them.

Honestly, Mallory!
The Mallory books by Laurie B. Friedman
I don't love these books, but both of my girls do. Love them. Reread them again and again, while there are other series that seem so similar to me that they rarely touch, though the books are just as available.
