Books at Camp

While we were at fiddling camp, we read. (Because there were no TVs in the rooms!)

We read some awesome books.

I would recommend these to anyone going anywhere on vacation, and can I just say now that I have two books that I know will go on my all-time-favorites in 2013?

I can and I will. I've blogged about them before, but I've reread them since and my kids have read them and they are AWESOME.

I am in the process of deeply analyzing (deeply!) what makes these books so good. The story? The writing? I don't know, but they are magical.

Shaemus read these and LOVED them:

We also got a flat tire, which is a funny story I'm writing up for tomorrow's post. Thank goodness for kids who can sit on the side of the road and read books for hours at a time... In the rain...
