I want to say from the outset that I have not examined this book for historical accuracy, but, like that TED talk about language acquisition explains, this book teaches. It teaches because it takes a serious subject and brings it down to an engaging level that gets kids asking questions. I can't tell you the number of JFK questions I've gotten since Calvin, Lucy, and Mary read this book.
